The Ayrshire Group can trace its roots back to 1819, when it was a builder of ships on the Ayrshire coast.

During the 1930's the company diversified into the cold roll forming of steel sections from coils of material. This modern method of producing lightweight but strong profiles breathed new life into the company as it was a much needed replacement for ship building.
